Figuring Out the English Muffin

I eat english muffins, specifically Thomas’ Original English Muffins, almost every day.  I enjoy them with peanut butter or as part of my improving egg sandwich; the english muffin is pretty much my go to breakfast or snack food.  Despite the quantity of Thomas’ Original English Muffins I consume on a regular basis, I have never looked at the nutrition label.  In fact, I rarely ever look at any nutrition label, so when asked to specify what I find confusing about them it’s hard to know where to begin.   I don’t understand why the percentages don’t add up to 100, I don’t understand what the relation of calories to grams to milligrams is, and I certainly don’t know what all of those things mean for my health as I include these english muffins as a staple in my diet.
