I chose Tostitos Multigrain Scoops because it reminds me of watching baseball and football games with my family. We would have scoops, salsa, guacamole, cheese and carrots as snacks when we watched the games. Since this weekend is the Super Bowl, I have been thinking about my Philadelphia Eagles and memories of eating chips and watching the games with my family. These chips also bring up memories of having hors d’oeuvres before Shabbat dinners with my family and summers down the shore. Tostitos chips are a good snack and they remind me of fun memories.
Below there is an image of the nutrition label for Tostitos Multigrain Scoops. This label shows the amounts of fats, sodium, carbohydrates, proteins, and vitamins in a serving of chips. The label also reveals the percent daily values of fat, cholesteral, and sodium per serving. This means that in one serving of chips you ate a certain percentage of the recommended value. I wonder why protein and sugars do not have a percent daily value. Do most foods contain more sugars than recommended? I also wonder what are the benefits of having vitamins in food and how much of each vitamin should be in your daily diet. Lastly, I hope to better understand the nutrition facts on food in order to live a healthier life.
